Use manufacturer cutting data and stay within machine, tool and workholding limits.

Calculation check: Reaming output is a direct RPM/IPM conversion from your chosen SFM and IPR; it does not invent a cutting recommendation.

Calculation method

How this calculator works

RPM = SFM × 12 ÷ (π × Reamer Diameter)IPM = RPM × Feed per Revolution

Values are deterministic outputs from the inputs shown above; cutting recommendations are not inferred.

Reamer speed and feed calculation

Reaming is a finishing operation, so the correct cutting data depends strongly on reamer type, allowance, material and coolant. This tool performs the RPM/IPM conversion only.

Do not reuse drilling values blindly

A reamer is not simply another drill. Use reaming-specific manufacturer data for the actual tool before entering SFM and IPR.
